Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott Jr. is pleased to announce the following personnel changes, effective January 2015.

Donna Muta will take over as Superintendent of the Hammond Park Department. Donna became an employee with the City of Hammond in 2005. She has held many positions including, parks, special events coordinator, and public works district supervisor.

Leanne Munoz will move from the College Bound Coordinator to become Hammond’s Special Events Coordinator. Leanne started with the City in 2011 as an intern with the Parks Department. She then moved to the Jean Shepherd Center as the building manager, before becoming the College Bound Coordinator. Leanne is a graduate of the College Bound Scholarship Program and is currently in the process of obtaining her master’s degree in communications from Purdue Calumet.

Gabriella Gallegos will move from Recreation Supervisor to become the Hammond College Bound Coordinator. Gabriella started with the City of Hammond in 2013. She is also a graduate of the College Bound Scholarship Program.

Rosa Maldonado will become Hammond’s Recreation Supervisor. Rosa has been with the City of Hammond since 1996. She has held various positions within the Hammond Police Department.
