Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., The Hammond Police Department and the Fraternal Order of Police #51 invite all area residents to join us in honoring Hammond’s fallen officers by attending the Hammond FOP 51’s yearly Police Officer Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Hammond Police Department, located at 509 Douglas Street.
This event will have a fallen officer salute by Hammond Police Chief John Doughty, comments from Mayor McDermott, a special guest speaker and a Star of Honor wreath will be presented.
Refreshments will be served afterward.
