The Hammond Parks Department extends pool dates to the public at Hessville pool, located at Kennedy Avenue and 173rd Street, and Edison pool, located at Madison Avenue and Mulberry Street, through Sunday, Aug. 30. Hours for Hessville and Edison pool are Tuesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.
As normally scheduled, Pulaski pool, located at 137th Street and Sheffield Avenue, and Martin Luther King pool, located at Tapper and Highland Street, will close for the season on Sunday, Aug. 9.
Season pool passes will not be sold after Saturday, Aug. 1. Visitor passes can be purchased at the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 S. Sohl Avenue, or the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 J.F.
