The Gaming Advisory Committee was established to oversee and determine how Hammond can best fund and support the many requests that we receive on an annual basis. By appointing a committee, we can assure that our decisions to fund organizations and projects are done on a fair and equitable manner and in the best interests of Hammond residents. The advisory committee represents a cross section of Hammond residents. They are: Melissa Farrell, Helen “Cookie” Spudic; Anne Herbert; Joyce Koch; Ray Garcia, Roger Brock, Councilwoman Janet Venecz, Councilman Dan Spitale, Sharon Szany and Marty Wielgos, Committee Chair.
“Since 2004, over $15 million of gaming revenue has been donated to fund hundreds of charitable organizations”, stated Mayor McDermott.
