The Sanitation Department will not be working Friday, December 25, 2015, in observance of the Christmas holiday and on Friday, January 1, 2016, in observance of the New Years holiday. Friday pick ups will be one day late for both weeks .
Garbage pickup will be one day late for Thanksgiving
The Sanitation Department will not be working Thursday, November 26, 2015, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Monday through Wednesday pick-ups will be as scheduled. Thursday and Friday scheduled garbage pick-up will be one day late. We will be working on Friday, November 27th, and also on Saturday, November 28th.
Sanitation Department Columbus Day Schedule
The Sanitation Department will not be working on Monday, October 12th in observance of Columbus Day. Monday through Friday’s garbage pick-up for that week will be one day late. We will be working on Saturday, October 17th.

The Hammond Public Works, Sanitation will not be working Monday, September 7th, 2015 in observance of Labor Day. Monday through Friday’s scheduled garbage pick-up will be one day late. We will be working on Saturday, September 12th, 2015.

The Hammond Public Works garbage pickups WILL BE on schedule for the the week of June 29th through July 3rd.

Yard waste bag pick-up begins in April
Starting the week of April 13, 2015, the Sanitation Department will start picking up 30-gallon paper, biodegradable yard waste bags on a regular weekly basis.
