The Hammond Public Works Sanitation division will not be working Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Monday through Friday scheduled garbage pick-ups will be one day late. The Sanitation division will be working on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

On April 26, 2021 (weather permitting), Hammond Public Works will begin curbside pickup of 30-gallon paper, biodegradable yard waste bags on a regular weekly basis.
