We’ll review how to navigate the program, choosing your settings, making changes as you go along or after you’ve typed your material, inserting a simple graphic and more. A practice project gives you hands-on experience with the program. Participants must be familiar with the mouse and have basic keyboarding skills.
Tues., Feb. 17: A free Email Basics computer class is offered at 2 p.m. at the Hammond Public Library, 564 State St. Advance registration is required by calling Carol Williams at (219) 931-5100, Ext. 345. Review the layout of web-based e-mail, how e-mail programs are structured and how you can customize your mail storage. We’ll cover reading, organizing and sending mail in a hands-on session. E-mail accounts for class use will be provided, so don’t worry if you don’t yet have your own. Participants must have beginner keyboarding skills, and be familiar with the computer mouse.
