Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the Hammond Sportsplex are hosting a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 9:00am until 1:00pm. There will be contests and free giveaways from our sponsors.
Open gym will be free to the public from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
Come by and sign up for sports leagues, meet the staff, tour the new facility or join the Free Walking Club. The Hammond Sportsplex is located at 6630 Indianapolis Boulevard.
Leagues that are currently being offered are:
- Co-Ed Wednesday Volleyball League
- Women’s Thursday Volleyball League from October 8 to December 10
- 4 on 4 Volleyball Tournament on November 24
- Velocity 219 Elite and Velocity 219 Club Volleyball
- Men’s 40 & Up Basketball League from October 8 through December 10
- 3 on 3 Basketball Tournaments
- Men’s Fall Monday Night Basketball League for ages 18 & up
- Men’s Indoor Soccer League
- Youth Elite Indoor Soccer League

After the Grand Opening Celebration, the Sportsplex normal business hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 10:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:00am until 5:00pm.
