Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation are partnering with Walgreens to offer ticket deals to the upcoming Festival of the Lakes.
The partnership makes it more convenient to buy specific Festival of the Lakes carnival and parking passes today through July 19 at any one of 46 participating Walgreens stores for use at the Festival of the Lakes from July 20-24. There are three different ways to take advantage of this partnership.
First, at any participating Walgreens, festgoers can buy a Carnival mega pass for $45. This is a $5 savings off of the base price. The carnival mega pass allows unlimited carnival rides for the entirety of the festival from July 20-24.
After purchasing the mega pass, turn it in at the Modern Midways ticket office on the festival grounds at Wolf Lake Park at 5 p.m. July 20 and receive a bracelet that is worn for the entire fest.
Second, also available at any participating Walgreens from July 6-19, is the single day parking pass for $22 each. This is a $3 discount from the price charged on the festival grounds. Patrons will receive a ticket from the Walgreens cashier, then just bring it to the festival and when they are ready to park and give it to the festival parking cashier.
Third, Walgreens is offering three-day parking passes for $60, a savings of $15 over the regular daily parking rate. Again, simply present your ticket to the festival parking cashier when you arrive.
No refunds, exchanges or replacements of any kind will be made for these deals. For a list of the 46 participating Walgreens stores, visit www.festivalofthelakes.com.
