The Hammond Academy of Science and Technology is currently accepting applications for incoming students for the 2016-17 school year. Students looking to enter the incoming 6th grade must submit application by January 29, 2016. The annual 6th grade lottery will take place February 11, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Hammond Academy, located at 33 Muenich Court, Hammond, IN 46320.
Students in grades 7-12 are welcome to submit applications at any time, as HAST has wait lists. Students are drawn from the wait list based on space available in the different grade levels.
Hammond Academy offers small class sizes, ranging between 15 and 25 students typically. The academic program is rigorous, focusing on hands-on curriculum with technology integration at all grades. HAST offers numerous dual credit courses at the high school. The school’s graduates attend colleges and universities throughout Indiana, with some attending out of state as well. HAST students receive excellent scholarship opportunities thanks to their academic performance and well-rounded backgrounds.
