$20.65 per hour - full time with benefits
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, Saturday & Sunday off
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to use hand and power tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
- Subject to 24-hour call-out for emergencies
- Must maintain cooperative relationship with those in contact with during the course of work
Job Responsibilities:
- Cleaning tanks when removed from service
- Shoveling snow and operating snow blower
- Janitorial duties throughout all stations
- General landscaping
- Collect screenings from stations
- Assisting Mechanics and Mechanic Helpers as needed
- Any other labor task assigned by Labor Foreman, Superintendent of Maintenance or Superintendent of Operations
- Must maintain attendance record with few or no absences or tardiness
Hiring will be done in accordance with Hammond City Ordinance #8620 as it pertains to the residency requirement.
Position will be posted internally only from June 26, 2024 until July 2, 2024. If the position is not filled internally, it will be held open for external applications an additional ten (10) days. The position will remain posted until filled or no more than ten days.
