The City of Hammond has been notified by the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission that certain portions of the Little Calumet River Levee Trail will be closed for maintenance, beginning Monday, September 30 for asphalt sealcoating. In Hammond, this will occur between Northcote Ave. and Indianapolis Blvd. In Highland, they will be working on the trail on the south levee bank from Kennedy Ave. to Cline Ave. Please be aware there may be some delays or disruptions while using the bike trail.
