On September 16, 2023, a construction crew working in the area of the vacated Clark High School football field damaged a 36” concrete transmission water main, causing immediate and significant water loss. Hammond Water Works crews arrived on scene right away; however, a specialized outside agency has been employed to complete the repair because specialized equipment is required. We anticipate no water loss to any homes or businesses during the repair period, but wanted to make our customers aware of the problem and assure you that remedial measures are underway.
